What Makes Galway Different?
Galway will truly be like no other community in the province. When you first drive down Galway Boulevard you will notice the difference immediately. Here are just a fewof the unique features we have planned for Galway:
Trees
Yes trees! We take great care to protect trees whenever we can. Most lots have a deep, thick, natural tree buffer at the rear of the lot. We have many parks too; connected by trails to the Village Green – a five acre park in Phase 1 of the project. And every new home will be required to have at least one tree planted on their front lawn. These trees, along with those planted by the developers, will add greenery to the neighbourhoods, especially after these trees mature.
Design Controls
Every new home will have to be approved by the developer and meet the Galway Design Criteria. This ensures that neighbourhoods will feel like a carefully coordinated collection; all aligning with the architectural detailing and curb appeal standards that will make for spectacular streetscapes.
A True Planned Community
Galway is the province’s only truly planned community, offering a wide variety of housing options to suit the needs of any family. In Phase One, we will have 50’ single family lots, bungalow townhomes (designed for the 55+ residents), rental apartments, and three-level executive town homes. Future phases will offer a selection of larger and smaller single family lots, semi-detached homes, and even four-unit buildings.
Underground Power
Our first phase is completely connected by underground power, and what a difference that makes! As you drive into the development you will immediately notice the attractive decorative street lamps and the lack of overhead wires. This does cost more, but it makes a huge difference in the aesthetics of the community and is less prone to power outages. |
